10 Worst Decisions WWE Has Made In 2016 (So Far)

8. Firing Damien Sandow

Every year, WWE cuts talent. It's unfortunate, but inevitable. The company likes to sign new stars, and in order to keep their overall salary payments relatively consistent, they release wrestlers whom they feel are either past their prime or incapable of getting over.

In April, WWE cut nearly a dozen stars, and while some were arguably capable of benefiting the company more than others (and some even requested their release), the most confusing firing was that of Damien Sandow. During his four years on the main roster, Sandow proved himself multi-talented and able to perform in any role the company requested.

More than that, though, he was popular. His last major run - as Damien Mizdow, The Miz's stunt double - was so entertaining that he became a beloved babyface. Even though he ultimately lost the blowoff with Miz and fell down the card, his rare appearances - including one at WrestleMania 32 - were greeted with monster pops.

In an age when WWE has so much trouble getting wrestlers over, firing someone with a huge fan base was completely baffling.
