10 Worst Ever NXT TakeOver Matches

9. Adam Rose Vs Camacho (TakeOver)

The Adam Rose character had been an instant smash on NXT, debuting with a vignette and match in March 2014 that completely captivated the Full Sail crowd.

With his catchy entrance theme and half of the future NXT/WWE roster dressed as his 'Rosebuds' having the party of a lifetime in his presence (Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Kalisto, James Elsworth, Braun Strowman, Simon Gotch, Nia Jax, Elias Sampson and countless others were early compadres of Rose), the 'Ultimate Party Animal' formerly known as Leo Kruger didn't look long for the developmental brand.

However, as it would on the main roster, the act showed signs of staleness early on, and by the time he opened the first NXT TakeOver event in May of that year (having already appeared on Monday Night Raw weeks earlier), the bloom was already off this Rose.

The protracted squash over longstanding no-hoper Camacho just weeks before the latter's release from the company was weak, exposing Rose's limitations with the physicality of the character once the comedy was out of the way.

Rose was outstanding at playing the clown in short bursts, but had zero credibility during his babyface comebacks, which made a basic five minute television match last a lifetime.
