1. Vs. Roman Reigns

Where should we begin with this one? Was it the fact that literally nobody asked for it, the fact that 'Taker was in no condition to be wrestling, or WWE's predictable knack for letting down the fans who invest their time and money into the product? Let's go with all of the above, shall we?

Roman Reigns was a special kind of intolerable in 2017 and it was through no fault of his own. The character who had literally been handed every opportunity by WWE was overwhelmingly unopopular with fans, so the-powers-that-be thought it would help fans buy him as the next face of the company if they had him face off against, disrespect and ultimately defeat the most revered (and popular) superstar in the company's history. Meanwhile, 'Taker wasn't in the shape to be competing in such a high profile match and Reigns was not capable of carrying him to a good match.

Perhaps its biggest issue was that it lacked purpose. 'Taker had done the whole 'passing the torch at WrestleMania' thing to Brock Lesnar three years beforehand, so this feud was completely meaningless. Didn't stop them from giving it to us, though...
