10 Worst Heel Turns In WWE History

4. Tatanka (1994)

In the summer of 1994, Tatanka accused Lex Luger of selling his soul to the 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase. The Native American star had caught Luger meeting with DiBiase on countless occasions, leading him to become suspicious. Not willing to sit back and wait for his friend to betray him, Tatanka issued a challenge to Luger for a match at SummerSlam. At the supershow Tatanka showed his true colours. He capitalized on a brief distraction from DiBiase and scored a victory with a rollup. After the match, it was revealed that it was he who had sold out, betraying Luger and coming across as a hypocrite after months of denouncing the financial gain that comes with aligning oneself with DiBiase. Tatanka beat down his former friend and added insult to injury by shoving a dollar bill down his gullet. One would have thought that after putting so much time and effort into the story, that the heel turn would net Tatanka a significant push. One would be wrong, however. Instead, he fell into the background as focus in The Million Dollar Corporation turned to Kama, King Kong Bundy and Bam Bam Bigelow. He was gone from the promotion in early 1996 after losing a lot of momentum. It was a heel turn that really, really didn't work.
