10 Worst Moments From WWE In Saudi Arabia (So Far)
1. Goldberg Vs The Undertaker
WWE have been producing Pay-Per-Views for nearly forty years. In that time, they've put on countless main event matches featuring hundreds of different wrestlers - so what does it say about this match that it is often regarded as their worst Pay-Per-View main event ever?
At Super ShowDown 2019, WWE gave their fans a match everybody (twenty years ago) wanted to see pitting The Undertaker against Goldberg. The two legends - both in their fifties - squared off for the very first time under the Saudi sun and it went terribly. Both men were working outside their comfort zones which resulted in a number of very awkward (and sometimes scary) moments. Combine both men's age with the searing temperatures and this was a recipe for disaster.
Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt during this match - a minor miracle - but the reputation of both stars definitely suffered. This match epitomises the damage WWE does to itself by over-relying on older performers, especially in Saudi Arabia where The Crown Prince's love of old wrestling usually overpowers common sense.
A terrible match on a bad show, The Undertaker vs Goldberg is reason enough for WWE never to go back to Saudi Arabia ever again.
