ECW's home on Syfy raised certain unpopular obligations to fulfil, chief among them the inclusion of a 'supernatural' element to fit with the network's overall theme. This resulted in a so-called 'Monster Mash Battle Royal' - in other words, a perfectly normal battle royal featuring four of the slowest, least-agile men in the entire company. The outside pressure to put on the match was made more obvious by a 'spooky' hype video, complete with an old-timey B-Movie voiceover. The whole thing was billed as something straight out of Scooby Doo, but turned out to be simply a terrible wrestling match.
