10 Worst Musical WWE Gimmicks

1. Tons Of Funk

Tons of Funk has the distinction of being the worst musical gimmick not just for ruining one career, but two. Brodus Clay's return was one of the most anticipated re-debuts in quite some time as most assumed he would be coming in as the monster character he was built for. Instead, the world was treated to the monstrosity that was the "Funkasaurus", a goofy dancing fat guy in a ill-fitting singlet. In a call back from the Flash Funk days, Clay was flanked by two dancing women, this time called the Funkadactyls. Borrowing Earnest "the Cat" Miller's WWE theme the funky music demanded that "Somebody Call My Mama". The gimmick was so ridiculous it was funny for about a minute. Unfortunately, he was forced to dance his way for a lot longer than a minute even though his push quickly dried up. If all of that wasn't bad enough, Clay was eventually joined by another big man, this time Tensai, formerly Albert, whose own return push had stalled out. The two formed "Tons of Funk" and soon Tensai was dancing along side Clay. Tensai's trademark dance move of "The Shovel" was certainly fitting as the gimmick was just burying them both. Recently, Tensai has done some announce work and Brodus Clay was released making this gimmick not just a bad musical gimmick but as double career killer the absolute worst.
