10 Worst No. 30 Entrants In WWE Royal Rumble History
1. Duke Droese - 1996
When Duke "the Dumpster" Droese came out last in the 1996 Royal Rumble, I’d hazard a guess that nobody in the building thought he was actually in with a shout of winning.
Here was a guy who only had one PPV match under his belt at the time – an eight-minute outing in the ’95 Rumble match – and who’d only wrestled once on Raw in the preceding nine months. Oh, and his gimmick was also that of a part-time garbage disposal guy…
In short, Droese’s character could hardly look like a less inspiring choice for the no. 30 spot. And perhaps the only thing more underwhelming than the big reveal of a garbage man as the match's final entrant was the ensuing performance from said garbage man.
Droese’s only real contributions were some shots in the corners to Isaac Yankem and Kama Mustafa before Deisel and Kama sent him over the top rope to end a forgettable, elimination-less 70-second spell.
It may not have been quite as brief or predictable as other entries on this list, but it was just plain disappointing – which is precisely what you don’t want from a Royal Rumble no. 30 entrant.
