10 Worst No. 30 Entrants In WWE Royal Rumble History
3. Tugboat - 1991
Much like with Rey Mysterio in 2014, Tugboat’s appearance in the 1991 Royal Rumble came at the expense of someone else that the fans had pinned their hopes on seeing, this time in the form of Randy Savage.
With 29 men having already come out, and with Savage not being one of them, the assumption was that the Macho Man would be entering the field as the final man. Except, he didn’t, as Tugboat instead came through the curtain and to a chorus of boos from the Miami crowd.
Eventually, it was half-heartedly explained that Savage had been supposed to come out at no. 18, but didn’t because he’d been chased out of the building by the Ultimate Warrior. And if that sounds like a lame cop-out, that’s because it very much was...
From there, things only went from bad to worse for Tugboat. After a largely uneventful spell, he was eliminated by Hulk Hogan after just two-and-a-half minutes. Granted, that’s not quite as brief as the aforementioned stints of Chyna and Booker T, but with Tugboat returning zero eliminations, his no. 30 appearance somehow looks even less impressive.
