It may be viewed as heretical to badmouth anything Shawn Michaels does, but just look at his brief stint in the nWo for proof that even the best can't rescue garbage. There was absolutely no need to put HBK in the New World Order when he returned in 2002, let alone as a non-wrestling mouth piece.

Standing alongside Kevin Nash, X-Pac and The Big Show, Michaels tried his best to rekindle interest in an idea that had long since faded. Making things worse, Shawn had been part of the rebellious D-Generation X group, a faction put together as the WWF's antidote to the nWo over in WCW. Now, Michaels was just part of the machine.

He hadn't even worked in WCW either, so the decision was clearly only made to tie real-life Michaels and Nash together on TV. HBK was only in the nWo for a few months before the stable disappeared from screens once again.
