How can a charity t-shirt which is for such a great cause be such an awful piece of merchandise? Well for two reasons. First of all, by buying this shirt you are basically encouraging WWE to exploit the awful disease that is breast cancer for their own commercial gain. Anyone who has lost someone to this vile, cruel, and brutally ugly disease should take offense to the fact that in pretending to support cancer WWE are profiting. Dont believe me that they are pretending? Well they actually admit as much on their own webpage: From October 1, 2015 through October 31, 2015, WWE will donate to Susan G. Komen® 20% of the retail sales price before applicable sales tax of each WWE/Susan G. Komen® branded product sold on WWEShop.com So for one lousy month of the year, WWE will give a lousy 20% of profits to charity, while they keep the change. Woohoo. How fn generous and how tasteful! Secondly though, Susan G Komen is an awful charity to begin with. They are a litigious, greedy, and hypocritical organization that does nothing to actually tackle the issue of breast cancer seriously. Rather than supplying support for victims, Komen has created a multi million-dollar commercial juggernaut that encourages organizations like WWE to exploit the horrors of breast cancer for profit all in the name of research (research that has done nothing to kerb the epidemic of breast cancer in the decades that they have been trying). They funnel away support from hospices and actual help groups who get crushed under the wealth and influence of Komen, and are despised by breast cancer activists worldwide. These reasons alone this t-shirt may be the crassest item that WWE have ever produced.
