10 Worst PPV Endings In WWE History

8. The Undertaker Vs The Dudley Boyz - Great American Bash 2004

This entry was met with a mixture of horror and ridicule when it occurred, but everybody was united in condemning it as a bad PPV ending. The match itself was poor, with Undertaker dominating both tag team champions and defeating them pretty easily. This wasn't exactly a huge surprise - Taker sadly has a history of squashing supposedly strong opponents - but it still contributed to the shoddy nature of the PPV. The main point of contention was the match's ludicrous stipulation. Paul Bearer was at ringside trapped in a slowly-filling vat of cement. A delighted Bearer saw his charge win the bout and approach the chamber to set him free...only for Undertaker to declare that there was nothing he could do and pull the fatal lever himself, ostensibly killing his manager. The WWE quickly clarified that Bearer wasn't actually dead, the kayfabe explanation being that he was rescued from the cement and rushed to hospital, but the event could be seen as terrifying and disturbing - especially for younger fans. Others found it simply ludicrous, an unnecessary throwback to the days of the Ministry and it's cheesy, Halloweenish shenanigans. Either way, it certainly had no place in the main event of a WWE Pay Per View and was rightly criticised from all angles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dl4CEPkDJA
