10 Worst Reasons Wrestling Feuds Started

1. Booker T & Edge Collide Over A Shampoo Commercial

Credit to the man holding aloft a sign saying, 'They Are Fighting Over Shampoo' at WrestleMania X-8. If ever there was an unlikely reason for a 'Mania match, it was the one governing issues between Booker T and Edge back in 2002. Both were chasing a supposedly lucrative commercial deal with a fictional Japanese shampoo manufacturer.

It's clear the whole thing was done for comedy purposes, but it fell wide of the mark. Both would go on to become World Champions in WWE, something that must give other talented performers going through horrible storylines some hope. In terms of WrestleMania matches, however, this was largely throwaway.

Edge was the one to nab the deal, infuriating Booker. That led to a wrestling match on the biggest show of the entire year, over shampoo. Seriously, two of the most talented men on the roster were at loggerheads over hair products.

The match wasn't even lengthy, meaning all that zany storytelling before the show wasn't necessary. This has to be considered one of the most absurd reasons for a wrestling rivalry ever.
