10 Worst Sacrifices In WWE

7. Bantering Off Bayley At WrestleMania 37

To put over the disrespect to Bayley's current character here is to put over WrestleMania as the be all/end all for WWE talent in 2021 when that is clearly and objectively not the case.

Yet, despite that caveat, 'The Role Model' deserved more than to be sacrificed to multiple legends in several verbal and physical battles.

A creative misfire rather than a direct setback for 2020's most consistent performer (or joint-most with Sasha Banks, at very least), her segments getting pied by the New World Order, shooed off by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff and battered by The Bella Twins was in keeping with WWE's typical treatment of current stars in the presence of old ones. And it's why - as it has been for decades - the former never reach the levels of the latter.

There will be straw man arguments that just being part of the show is in itself prize enough, but this is simply not true in the era of content content content and super-service of said content. Even midcard matches from the show stand to be forgotten within a month, let alone filler comedy segments that landed with neither the live crowd nor those watching at home.
