700 days. That is how long Rob Van Dam held the ECW Television Championship. During that time, he had managed to become one of the most incredible in-ring performers in the world and had even managed to raise the prestige of the secondary belt above the ECW Heavyweight Championship in the eyes of many. It was a run meant to build a champion vs champion program that would make RVD the face of the company. It was a program that would never come to be. A broken ankle ended the near-two-year run of Rob Van Dam, and completely unraveled the company's long-term plans at a time when they needed a star like RVD the most. They called Van Dam the "Whole F'ing Show" at the time because ECW television was justifiable in watching solely because of his presence. Without him on the roster ECW was never quite able to answer the dreaded question: "What now?"
