10 Worst Timed Injuries In Wrestling History

4. Daniel Bryan's Ultimate Celebration Is Short Lived

While his 2015 injury would prove to be the proverbial nail in Daniel Bryan's career coffin, in hindsight his injury just a year earlier feels the most unfortunate. Whether it was by accident or not, WWE had found the next big thing in Daniel Byran. When he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX, it was the sort of moment the promotion had long attempted to create. They finally had a much-loved babyface champion who could carry the company on his shoulders. And then, after only one PPV title defense, Daniel Bryan became the victim of a significant injury that would force him to vacate the title. While the career of Daniel Bryan is much more than just one great moment, that moment he did create at WrestleMania XXX felt like a real turning point for WWE, on par with C.M. Punk's pipebomb promo a couple of years prior. It was a moment so huge that it essentially forced the hands of WWE creative to suddenly rethink every comfort they fell back on. Instead...well you know the rest.
