7. Dennis Rodman And Karl Malone - A Tale Of Two Wrestlers
When WCW signed basketball superstars Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman for a tag match alongside Diamond Dallas Page and Hollywood Hogan, it soon became clear which of the pair brought their working boots to the ring.
Let's get the good out of the way first. Malone is a firecracker in this match. The legendary Utah Jazz power forward absolutely throws himself into this match, popping the crowd with every big move and taunt. Malone's offense may be basic but it's remarkably well-executed and shows Malone could have been a serviceable big man had basketball not worked out for him.
Rodman, on the other hand...
Rodman admitted in last year's hit documentary The Last Dance that he saw his time in WCW as a paid vacation, and that attitude is blatantly on display here. From his one offensive move of note (an arm drag in which he collapses to the floor while DDP obligingly somersaults over him) to the fact he spends most of the match sucking oxygen on the apron, Rodman's approach to the match is the polar opposite of his colleague's.
Malone may have been suitably jazzed at working with DDP and Hogan, but Rodman failed to grab the bull by the horns and it's the latter's lack of effort that lands this match a place on the list.
