10 Worst Tough Guy Names in Wrestling

4. Firebreaker Chip

You've gotta admit, "firebreaker" is a pretty kickass descriptor. But it loses a lot when paired with "Chip." None of the -ip names are tough-sounding. Skip and Zip? Nope. Rip? Sorry, Mr. Rogers, but no. Chip fits right in with those underwhelming names.

A fireman by day and wrestler by night, Firebreaker Chip is remarkably not a member of the same mid-'90s occupational class that included Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, Repo Man, T.L. Hopper, The Goon, and Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz. This wasn't one of Vince's, folks. This was all WCW.

Teaming with Todd Champion (a soldier gimmick) as The Patriots, Firebreaker Chip actually became a United States Tag Team Champion during his year with WCW. He bounced around the NWA after his WCW run, and eventually retired. But not before adding another occupational gimmick to his resume: dressing like a mailman as one of the "U.S. Males."

Real tough guy stuff.
