Sadly, Mike Shaw is no longer among the living, having passed away from a heart attack in 2010. Giving the guy some credit, he played some awful characters in WWE, including Friar Ferguson, a mad monk, and most notably the greasy sweat ball Bastion Booger, giving his all every single time. In fairness to the writing team, if you're going to create an obvious heel, try to make him as unlikeable as possible. Booger, if you can believe a wrestler had such a surname, was entirely designed to gross out the audience - eating whatever he could get his hands on, and wearing a revealing, tight-fitting outfit, Shaw hammed it up to the best of his abilities as Bastion Booger. The character didn't receive much success, and that should come as little surprise. A truly one-note gimmick, one with a limited shelf-life for fan interest, meant Booger was only around for a year or so. Younger wrestling fans who weren't around in the mid-1990's should sometimes be thankful - when fans complain about the product today, older fans should remind them of characters like this one.
