10 Worst Wrestlers In WWE Main Events
2. Mabel
King Mabel's single main event appearance was one of the most shambolic in WWE history, very nearly resulting in taking out the company's top guy at the time, Diesel.
Despite being predominantly a tag team guy as a part of Men On A Mission, Mabel had the rockets strapped to him in 1995, winning King of the Ring that year despite one of the more stacked lineups the now-useless tournament ever fielded.
The future Viscera was somehow picked to win out over names like The Undertaker, Lex Luger, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, Jeff Jarrett, King Kong Bundy and even Shawn bloody Michaels.
The nonsensical crown elevated the big unit to the top of the card for a brief period, where he would headline one of the Big Four events that year.
SummerSlam.
Despite Diesel doing his best to carry him, Kevin Nash was being legitimately injured throughout the match due to Mabel's reckless style and apparent lack of self-awareness over his large frame, which Nash would talk about many times in shoot interviews over the years.
Thankfully for the fans, and Nash's ribs, the match didn't last more than ten minutes.
It was always going to be a struggle for two power-based big guys to go on last, straight after the electric ladder match between Michaels and Ramon just moments earlier.
The Mabel experiment died immediately and he was released not long into the following year.
