10 Worst Wrestling Matches In Halloween Havoc History

1. Hulk Hogan Vs The Giant (1995)

This is The Giant’s first professional bout, and to say things get better for the future Big Show is an understatement. The nonsense is rife from Hogan’s pre-match promo: he’d previously faced off against The Giant in a monster truck battle, which got out of hand when Hulk hurled his foe off the stadium roof.

Just as Hogan builds up to his apology for presumably killing a man, The Giant strides in, and unfortunately we have a title match on our hands. For 17 staggeringly dull minutes, the two trade chops, rest holds, slams, rest holds, knockdown attempts, and rest holds. It’s meant to invoke memories of Hogan vs. Andre, but instead of being an engrossing spectacle in front of a molten crowd, it’s absolutely terrible.

Hogan does his indomitable thing until his pal Jimmy Hart turns on him. He knocks out the ref, and we’re treated to that most thrilling of climaxes: the bear hug. Eventually Hogan is DQ'd for inexplicable reasons, and we go off the air with The Giant holding the belt aloft.

Oh, sorry - also, The Yeti turns up to take his turn grabbing at Hogan in a meme-ably suggestive manner. We’d be remiss not to mention The Yeti. As bad as it gets, this.
