10 Worst Wrestling World Title Reigns Ever

4. Hulk Hogan - April 4, 1993 To June 13, 1993

It didn't even exist, but it did on record, so it gets included.

Hulk Hogan, looking very much like a villain in an eerie spot of inadvertent symbolism, challenged the winner of the Bret 'The Hitman' Hart Vs. "The J*p" Yokozuna main event in a burst of ego, racism and panic on the part of Vince McMahon, who surveyed the parking lot in front of him and realised that the 1980s were fading into view.

But not if I can convince a checked-out, slimmed-down Hulkster to bring back the glory days! He was done as a draw in 1991, but I'm desperate, and very much in trouble!

Hogan toured the loop at a time when it was more important than appearing on television, but not before heading to Japan and burying the title he had just won as a "trinket". He worked tags with Brutus Beefcake, running back WrestleMania IX only with the DQ finish reversed. He then refused to return the favour to Hart - but he said Hart was so good that he made him question Hulkamania's greatness! Did...Did Hulk Hogan lie? - and instead dropped the belt back to Yokozuna in a dumb finish at King Of The Ring.

Hogan never appeared on live WWF TV in the interim. He played a ghost more than he did a champ, only without the white robe of course.

Um.
