Somehow, The Ascension weren't quite as bad as Los Matadores. For an example of just how lame the bull-fighting gimmick was, check out WWE's official gallery from the first ever tag-team Chamber match. Diego and Fernando are barely in any of the pics; the best shot of them is looking on from the background.

That's telling, and it shows how little WWE's writers thought of the team. All Los Matadores did was stand around until entering fourth, looked on as team mascot El Torito performed his usual spots and then fell victim to The Ascension's 'Fall Of Man' finisher.

Months later, Los Matadores turned heel on Torito and eventually became The Shining Stars. Once that idea also failed, the team rebranded as The Colóns and have barely been seen on TV since. Much like the men who eliminated them here, Los Matadores were only there to pad out the Chamber's roster.
