WWE need to make their mind up on whether or not Rusev is a heel or babyface. His "Rusev Day" t-shirt is a hot seller, an alliance with Aiden English has helped the former Vaudevillain and people are clearly into him. Now, Lana is benefiting from the hotness of Rusev's act, and few could have seen that one coming.

There's a sense that Rusev's popularity comes in spite of WWE's wishes though. Just look at how he's been booked, and, more importantly, who he's been booked against.

At the Greatest Royal Rumble, Rusev worked as a heel against The Undertaker. One-off, unique show or not, that went against fan reaction. Then, Rusev worked his old bad guy style to beat Daniel Bryan on SmackDown and the insinuation was that he had made fans unhappy.

That doesn't sound like a babyface. WWE must stop trying to battle Rusev's naturally likeable personality and embrace it. It's OK for him to wrestle Bryan, but the character needs to stop flopping from side to side so he can settle.
