10 Worst WWE Royal Rumble Matches Ever

6. 2009 - Randy Orton Is The Most Predictable Winner In History

Just six days before the 2009 Royal Rumble match, Randy Orton punted Vince McMahon in the head, and the show opened with him saying he was still in the Rumble match. Even with star power like The Undertaker, Triple H, and a lot of other big names, there was no real intrigue as to who wins the match because everyone seemed to know The Viper was going to win the match. When I was going revisiting all the Rumble matches, I could remember moments from every Rumble match and the two things I remember from 2009 were surprise appearance of Rob Van Dam and Orton winning in the end. That's it. Truth is, it just isn't a very exciting match. The year before, WWE put on an epic Rumble match in MSG, but the 2009 match didn't have a lot going for it, the ending was really obvious and the pacing of the match wasn't the best. Sorry 2009, even though Orton was a worth winner, this match just wasn't very good.
