10 Worst WWE SummerSlam Main Events Ever

When The Undertaker faced The Undertaker...

SummerSlam 2015 is right around the corner, and already people are getting excited to see Brock Lesnar tangle again with The Undertaker. That's understandable, because 'Taker doesn't really perform outside of WrestleMania these days, and the bout will surely help SummerSlam feel like a bigger deal. Traditionally, WWE used to put a lot of focus on the Summer Pay-Per-View. Before 1995, SummerSlam was one of few PPV events to take place annually. Joined by 'Mania, the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and - by 1993 - King Of The Ring, SummerSlam was a huge deal. These days, it arguably means significantly less, but WWE still like to trumpet the show as a huge part of the calendar. Maybe on August 23rd, 2015, it will feel like it again. There's no way Lesnar vs. Undertaker can fail to be a dramatic affair, but it would be the first time a hot match on paper failed to live up to the hype at SummerSlam. Some of the choices on this list may seem controversial, but it's important to note that their inclusion doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad matches. Instead, they're simply some of the worst main events to take place at SummerSlam, and not as good as many others.
