WWE announced via a video that aired on the March 16th edition of Raw that LL Cool J was coming to WrestleMania. This was met with vast indifference by most wrestling fans, who (shockingly) watch wrestling to see wrestling, not some past-it rapper. WWE have confirmed via a press release on WWE.com that LL Cool J will 'appear in the open of WrestleMania 31'. WWE has in the past opened 'Mania with a rendition of America The Beautiful. Will that be LL's job this year, or will he be treating the WWE universe to Momma Said Knock You Out, instead? The company will be chuffed with the mainstream attention that LL Cool J's involvement will undoubtedly bring and, in some ways, he's a good choice to open the show. He clearly doesn't lack confidence on the microphone and is a likeable, crowd-friendly personality. But it's not exactly Rock/Hogan/Austin, is it?
