10 WrestleMania 38 Card Predictions After Royal Rumble 2022
1. Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
No surprises here.
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is seen as the big WWE match for 2022, at least internally. That's why the Royal Rumble (the Lashley screwjob, Brock's big win, etc.) was calibrated the way it was. WWE wants this to feel more important than anything else going on in the promotion and thus far, they have succeeded in doing that.
Well received by fans and critics alike, the Reigns/Lesnar's feuds opening chapters were broadly successful, with Paul Heyman's allegiance always in question. Now, this appears to have been answered. An 'Advocate' no more, Heyman has returned to Roman's side, where he'll presumably stay for the remainder of this storyline, SHOCKED facial expressions and all.
Lesnar has already announced he wants to fight for the Universal Title at 'Mania. It's the only match on the card so far, and therefore a default entry on this list. Still, that Brock is in the WWE Title Elimination Chamber poses interesting questions. While a double-belt showdown looks unlikely in Dallas, it's a possibility.
