Back at the 1994 Royal Rumble, shenanigans from Yokozuna (or rather, from Crush, the Great Kabuki, Genichiro Tenryu, Bam Bam Bigelow, Adam Bomb, Jeff Jarrett, the Headshrinkers and Diesel) saw the big man beat the Undertaker to retain his WWF Championship. He would then would go on to face the winner of Lex Luger vs. Bret Hart - who ‘co-won’ the Rumble - at WrestleMania X.

That all sounds well and good, but it’s not necessarily the most mouth-watering of prospects.

Now imagine that there hadn’t been a ridiculously one-sided 10-on-1 beat-down at the Rumble, and that 'Taker had actually won the title. Suddenly, we're presented with the prospect of Undertaker vs. Bret Hart for the title at WrestleMania. That sounds a bit more like it.

Of course, a major spanner in the works of this particular piece of fantasy booking was the fact that Undertaker’s loss at the Rumble - and his subsequent ‘ascension to the heavens’ - was used to give him some time off to heal up a back injury. Had it not been for those injury woes, then maybe this meeting would have taken place after all…
