10 WrestleMania Results That Made Absolutely No Sense

Wrestling doesn't always make sense, but these 10 decisions boggled the mind.

Professional wrestling is a strange world. It is unique in that it is an audience-led performance art, yet often seems to do all it can to enrage that audience. Reaction is everything, and somewhere along the line WWE started prioritising surprise over logic, making decisions designed to shock as opposed to ones that made sense. WrestleMania is an island within this great sea, the one night of the year when everything is supposed to come together and legends are made. The build up to the show is often defined by a renewed focus from the creative team, and they are given the benefit of the doubt more often than not by even the most hardcore and critical of fans. It doesn't always work however, and the status and importance of WrestleMania means that strange decisions made at the event stick in the mind longer than they would if they happened on a TV show or minor event. We all remember watching the show and being completely baffled when certain individuals prevailed over others. Some are more memorable than others, but none of them made any long (or short) term booking sense. Here are 10 WrestleMania results that made absolutely no sense whatsoever, and no, Brock Lesnar ending the streak is not in here.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
