10 Wrestler Deaths WWE Didn't Acknowledge

8. Chris Candido - 2005

Chris Candido was widely respected in the wrestling industry as a real journeyman and technical worker. He was also famous for being Mr.Sunny, the real life partner of legendary WWF diva Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch. The pair met in high school and embarked on a life long relationship in wrestling. Forging a name for himself in early ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Candido eventually ended up in the WWF alongside Sytch. His gimmick however left much to be desired, as one half of the bodydonnas he was cast in the role of an over the top fitness guru. He ended up leaving the WWF after just a year, rejoining ECW. This is perhaps reason enough as to why WWE wouldn't offer condolences to his death, he was in the company for just one year, portraying a largely forgettable role. Who's to say what level of death qualifies a tribute or doesn't though? He was famous within the industry and well known through his association with Sunny. He died age 33 after complications from a surgery. TNA, where he had been performing at the time, went on to hold a tournament in his honour. Maybe WWE didn't want to reference a TNA star, we don't know, but they didn't respond to calls for their own tribute.
