10 Wrestler Movie Cameos You Totally Missed
9. Terry Funk - The Ringer
Terry Funk has long been viewed by the wrestling business as someone who will never truly retire from the ring. With several public "retirements" over the years, his returns have become legendary for their frequency and the wrestling world has long since accepted his life-long desire to perform.
But that isn't to say 'The Funker' hasn't had the chance to make an exit. In fact, he had a pretty decent movie career at one point and Funk had some solid roles in cult '80s classics like Road House and Over the Top, as well as a pretty notable, if not, barely recognisable role in Paradise Alley in '78.
Nevertheless, Funk has wound down his acting career considerably since then and his movie career has all but ceased in recent years. However, he did pop up once more on the silver screen in The Ringer with Johnny Knoxville in 2005.
Funk played the part of Frankie, a bookie's bodyguard, and the role is a very small part compared to his previous roles with the likes of Stallone and Patrick Swayze. Regardless of the part's brevity, it was a nice 21st century addition to his acting CV and proved that Funk's desire to act hasn't wavered either as he's gotten older.
