Yet Slater's ability to elicit a response from the WWE Universe, while keeping him steadily employed, comes at tremendous personal cost. Slater admitted his fear in an article on WWE's website, explaining that although he tries to keep it together in front of an audience, inside he's "terrified as hell." Given Slater's constant internal battle to keep his panic in check, it's remarkable he manages to set his feelings aside for the sake of the work. Those must be some kids he's got.
