10 Wrestlers Currently In The Best Shape Of Their Lives
2. Drew McIntyre
It's fair to say that Drew McIntyre changed a bit in-between his departure from WWE in 2014, and return as a member of the NXT roster three years later.
Once 'The Chosen One', literally named by Vince McMahon as a "future world champion" back in 2009, he fell out of favour and (similar to Mahal) seemed to be finished after leaving the company having last been seen as a member of 3MB.
However, a return to the independent circuit was just what he needed in order to reassess his career goals and motivate a body transformation that got everyone's attention.
McIntyre gave up alcohol and enlisted world renowned fitness expert Rob McIntyre (no relation), who is been responsible for the likes of John Cena and Sheamus looking like they do.
His unwavering focus on developing his physique returned him to the promise land in a position he had never achieved during his first run with the company. No longer was McIntyre a handsome, toned wrestler with promise, now he was an 18 stone beast who dominated his opponents, won championships and was so highly regarded he now has former world champion Dolph Ziggler playing second fiddle to him.
Any wrestler struggling to get noticed on the mid-card would love to emulate what McIntyre has achieved, and it's all down to him looking the best he ever has.
