10 Wrestlers Daniel Bryan MUST Face In AEW
2. Kenny Omega
If and when we have confirmation that Daniel Bryan has signed with AEW, it’s safe to assume he’s done so in no small part due to his desire to work with Kenny Omega. The two have a brief history in the indies, but with AEW’s champ close to the form of his life, Bryan recently described him as a dream opponent.
Omega, in full heel mode, acknowledged his peer’s praise with just a quick cocky tweet, but there’s no doubt he feels likewise, as do the Internet Wrestling Community en masse. Omega vs Bryan would be as close as you can get to a guarantee of quality.
Now, Omega is in the middle of something special with Adam Page at the moment, so it might have to remain on ice for now, but that’s fine - if we’re going to do this, let’s do it properly. A major build, some proper stakes, exactly the right setting.
The worry, of course, is that this match feels so dream-like that any reality couldn’t possibly match up to what we’ve imagined, and that is a concern. This is Bryan vs Omega, though - two talents this special, you’d bet on them pulling it off.
