10 Wrestlers Fans Hated For Dumb Reasons

This was always an absurd idea. John Cena the 16-time world champion, can't wrestle? That statement just isn't true.

There are valid arguments to be made that many performers are better than John, and whilst that may be the case, Cena has never been a slacker when it comes to his in-ring work. Yes, many of his matches felt stale and played out, but he got to that point in his career by being a good wrestler.

Cena was the company's top man and because of that many felt tired of seeing him everywhere. This disdain needed to be validated somehow so a narrative was conceived that he couldn't wrestle.

Cena has clear evidence to prove the contrary, matches with Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Edge and many more made it obvious that he could pull out some fantastic in ring showings and that he deserved his position in the company.

He may not have brought his A-game to every match, but no wrestler does - why would they? It's a demanding sport, and if you attempted to deliver that level of performance after such a long time on top every night, the damage would be irreversible.
