10 Wrestlers Fans Hated For Dumb Reasons
2. Ronda Rousey Is A UFC Fighter, Not A Wrestler
There was a time when Ronda Rousey's involvement in WWE was received with excitement and anticipation. The UFC megastar was a massive deal in popular culture, and it seemed like the perfect time for her to transition to pro wrestling. A tease at WrestleMania pretty much set in stone that she was interested and fans eagerly awaited her arrival.
Then for some strange reason as soon as she debuted, they took an instant disliking to her, claiming that she wouldn't be able to put on suitable matches and that her UFC credentials meant nothing. The same fans who were excited to see her suddenly doubted her ability.
Now, this could be because her first appearance was uninspired. It might also have been because her mic work was pretty sloppy. But one thing is for sure, and that's that it was unwarranted.
Ronda Rousey is an incredible athlete, and she began putting on brilliant matches as soon as she stepped into the ring, yet she could never shake off the hatred that had developed for her.
Sometimes even the fans don't know what they want.
