10 Wrestlers Fans Have No Idea What They're Truly Capable Of

9. Ricochet

Ricochet is a generic high-flying geek in WWE, which was forecast by virtually everybody of a halfway cynical bent.

This isn't allowed in certain circles - the wrestling media is meant to be positive - but positivity is all too often just naivety. The WWE product of 2021 is actually better than the product of 2019, but the instalment of Roman Reigns and Big E as dual World Champions feels far too late to salvage the company's toxic image. In short: WWE has been WWE for too long, and it's easier to just predict that they will sh*t the bed every time the sheets get changed.

They sh*t the bed with Ricochet, who was never going to be Ricochet on the main roster.

He has to sell.

Even though he is demonstrably, thrillingly capable of deadlifting and spiking Roman Reigns to the mat in the awesome surge of a PPV finishing sequence, after his attempts to stun him with spectacular precision aerials fail, this isn't something that's likely to happen. WWE regulates the giddy thrill of warp speed exhilaration and cannot sanction the idea that a small performer might be freakishly strong.

Even if that is actually the case.
