10 Wrestlers Fans Have No Idea What They're Truly Capable Of

3. Nathan Frazer

Nathan Frazer has impressed the few fans that actually watch NXT UK in underrated matches against Devon Field, Harry Burgess, and Gordon Chambers. His August 19 match with Alec Whitehead was particularly great - the sort of blistering technical war that would have generated serious buzz, if the genre hadn't been oversaturated or if NXT UK was in any way relevant.

Except none of this is true; all of those names are made up, you had no idea, and while Nathan Frazer probably is putting on a spate of clinics, nobody really gives a f*ck. You don't see GIFs of awesome New Japan sequences these days because you risk getting your account suspended. You don't see GIFs of NXT UK sequences because around 14 people watch the show on Sundays.

It's on Thursday. You don't know that either.

As Ben Carter, Frazer - mid-pandemic mind you - astonished fans of AEW through his excellent match against Scorpio Sky. In a move hastened by VISA issues and lifelong WWE fandom, he signed with NXT UK and promptly disappeared. In the meantime, AEW has more or less booked Dante Martin in the spot that was reserved for him. Martin has earned his increased TV presence, and has started winning as part of a storyline association with Lio Rush.

Carter was fabulous in that match, grasping, at a ridiculous early age, that inbound aerial attacks should not be welcomed with literally open arms but rather sold with fretting, panicked movements as something that could hurt you, and imminently.

He might be as good now.

Who knows?
