Believe it or not, but The Ascension are the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions of all time.
Konnor and Viktor held the belts for nearly a full year, before dropping them to The Lucha Dragons. Shortly after, they went up to the main roster and well... well...
The former monsters in NXT quickly became a joke. From the moment they were beaten up by a bunch of legends on an episode of Raw, nobody could take them seriously. After that, they were lucky if they ever saw the pre-show, let alone anything resembling a decent storyline.
Send The Ascension back to NXT and they could find themselves all over again. Without the restraints of the main roster, they could easily be transformed back into the juggernauts of old, ready to re-debut with a new look and a new attitude.
Konnor and Viktor deserve way, way better than what they're getting right now and perhaps Full Sail could be the sanctuary they need from the wasteland that is Raw and SmackDown.
