10 Wrestlers Having INCREDIBLE Years (That Nobody Is Talking About)
8. Sheamus
Sheamus could make a list such as this for practically every year of his WWE career. A perpetually underrated legend of the business, Sheamus is one of those performers who has the ability to leave an impression and create something fantastic no matter what he's given to work with.
His 2021 has been quietly brilliant, engaging in Raw's best feud in eons alongside real life friend Drew McIntyre, delivering with the Scottish Warrior in sickeningly brutal matches across the first quarter of the year. Sheamus' stiff style, impressive physicality and storytelling instincts made him a perfect foil for McIntyre as he prepared for his WWE Championship challenge against Bobby Lashley.
While he was positioned as a transitional figure for McIntyre in that feud, his subsequent program with Riddle established just how threatening and destructive Sheamus can be on the path to victory. Their match on WrestleMania 37's Night Two was a sleeper hit, containing seamless transitions, brutal strikes and an utterly audacious finish where Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on a midair Riddle.
He's never the most acclaimed or beloved wrestler on a WWE roster but his work has been exceptional, as it always is.
