10. Edge (4)
wwe.comAs an individual competitor, Edge spent most of his career as the biggest draw on the SmackDown brand. A show that predominantly showcased the WCW inherited, World Heavyweight Championship as its biggest prize; with the WWE title remaining on the companys longer running weekly show, Monday Night Raw. Not only did the Rated-R Superstar squeeze in an impressive four WWE Championship belts before retirement, he also managed a record seven World Heavyweight Championship reigns. After becoming the first ever Money in the Bank winner at WrestleMania 21, Edge received the luxury of a championship match at any point he deemed appropriate. The Rated-R Superstar wisely chose to cash in his prize immediately after a gruelling thirty minute Elimination Chamber match, Edge scored a quick pinfall over Cena and genuinely looked elated to finally be holding the WWE title, after eight years with the company. During his second run as WWE champion he replaced a Cena customised belt with a personalised Edge belt; though it basically looked the same, only with Rated-R Superstar plastered across the middle. Tacky customised belts have never really worked; they cheapen the title, making it look more like a build-your-own kids toy than the highest accolade in the sport. Imagine if Kate Winslet won an Oscar, then pulled out a marker pen and started writing her name in bubble letters all over it.
