10 Wrestlers That Are Causing A Scottish Revolution

2. Grado

Drew Galloway
WCPW/ICW

Unlike many others on this list, Grado was a performer who seemed to come out of nowhere and grow into a genuine star. There are few more recognisable faces on the Scottish wrestling scene, and the man has even crossed over into working on national television and in stand-up comedy.

Compared to everyone from the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes to Santino Marella (and others in between), Grado is a born performer that realises what his key selling points are. Comedy works very well for him, but it's not all laughs; he's been involved in some brutal street fights and weapon-filled brawls.

Grado's underdog story in ICW was extremely well-presented, and he has since made regular trips across the Atlantic to work with TNA. There, Grado has done a great job connecting with an audience that wouldn't immediately identify with his distinctly Scottish character.

Even though he's been wrestling since 2004, it wasn't until 2012 that Grado really started to come out of his shell, flourishing when given the chance and turning into a complete performer.
