10 Wrestlers That Bombed Twice
2. Sycho Sid
As a physical specimen, few can ever match the look of the real-life Sid Eudy. Similarly, intensity-wise, Sid was also head and shoulders above most of his peers throughout a career that would technically amass 30 years before the Master and the Ruler of the World officially hung up his boots in 2017.
Upon landing in the then-WWF as Sid Justice in mid-1991, the famed softball enthusiast could've feasibly made for a great monster heel World Champion. Feeling fresh and unlike anything else on the roster at the time, Sid's quest for the WWF Championship at that point fell short thanks to fellow heel Ric Flair and the Nature Boy's legendary Royal Rumble 1992 victory.
Justice would depart WWF shortly after his WrestleMania VIII showdown with Hulk Hogan, but a return to the promotion would eventually happen in 1995. As part of what would become a two-year stint with the Federation this time around, Sid - now known as Sycho Sid - would amass two reigns as the WWF Champion.
Sadly, both of these reigns flopped hard.
The first World Title win came at Survivor Series '96, where Sid defeated Shawn Michaels for the gold merely because the Heartbreak Kid refused to drop the company's biggest prize to Vader. This didn't make a jot of difference to business, and Sid would lose the belt back to Michaels at Royal Rumble '97.
Still, Sid would end up back with the WWF Championship in time for WrestleMania 13... where he and the Undertaker headlined the Showcase of the Immortals with the lowest buyrate in history.
