10 Wrestlers That Bombed Twice

"Ain't I great?"

Err, kind of. At times.

Across his time in WCW and TNA, Jeff Jarrett is in the record books as a ten-time World Champion. While your writer here is admittedly a Double J fan, the positioning of Jarrett as the top guy in either of those promotions never particularly worked out all that well.

As an in-ring talent, the third generation star was undoubtedly a great mechanic, a trusted hand, and could work with pretty much anyone on the card. A decent talker who could generate steady heat - even if said heat often relied on the easy 'out' of guitar shots - nobody can say that Jeff Jarrett was bad. The problem is, the Chosen One was one of those talents who makes for a solid upper-midcard heel, rather than being the person to steer the ship at the top of the mountain.

In fairness to Jarrett, his final run in WCW was at a time when the promotion was very much a sinking ship. Still, in the space of the company's final year, Jeff won WCW's top prize four times. The World Heavyweight Champion for a cumulative 59 days, Jarrett's time on top did zero to halt WCW's nosedive.

For his six reigns as 'the man' in TNA, the blame very much can lie with Jeff - for he was the person who co-founded the promotion and so often handled the creative. A total of 1,006 days leading the charge there, J-E-Double F again struggled to be any sort of genuine draw.
