10 Wrestlers That Have Soared Since WWE WrestleMania 35
8. Nikki Cross
Nobody wanted "play with Nikki" during her original run on the main roster as a not-that-believable psychopath, but an unlikely bond with Alexa Bliss has bizarrely built her back up as a believable babyface capable of winning and saving matches.
The duo defeating The IIconics for the Women's Tag Team Championships brought them back in from the creative cold, with both Bliss and Cross clearly being office favourites enough to remain champions longer than Sasha Banks and Bayley and have far more matches than the untrusted Australian duo.
The angle's gone so well that it's delayed what appeared to be the obvious payoff. Bliss side-eye'd Cross for most of their early interactions as various babyfaces used prior evidence against the former multi-time Women's Champion to suggest she'd eventually reveal her true intention with the innocent Scot. Instead, they got over as actual friends, with the whole subplot temporarily shelved to take advantage of their organic popularity.
