10 Wrestlers That Have Suffered Since WWE WrestleMania 35

4. Drew McIntyre

Injury has robbed Drew McIntyre of television time for much 2019's long and fascinating summer stretch, but his time away couldn't really be timed any worse.

The 'Scottish Psychopath' enjoyed a humorous spell as Shane McMahon's sidekick following the 'Show Of Shows' but the position was ultimately reductive - Drew had taken years to reestablish some agency in an organisation he'd once been booted from for being a busted flush, but his NXT stint and last year's main roster successes were both scuppered by a lack of coherent direction either side of the 'Showcase Of The Immortals'.

Consensus says he could and should just be pushed as an unstoppable monster again when he returns, not least with Paul Heyman currently at the creative helm. This is likely to work too, but as his 2019 has thus far suggested, where and how the company build him beyond being unbeatable remains a great unknown.
