10 Wrestlers Tony Khan Banned From AEW

7. Colt Cabana

Who or what kept Colt Cabana off television between CHECK DATE and CHECK DATE?

If we believe the man at the centre of the controversy around ‘Boom Boom’s name earlier this year, it wasn’t CM Punk, nor was it by any request he made.

Ergo, it must have been Tony Khan, and must have been an act independent of whatever particular needs the ‘Voice Of The Voiceless’ had upon his return to pro wrestling in 2021.

Regardless of what did or didn’t motivate the decision, the public reversal of it for a Ring Of Honor Championship match pitting Cabana against ROH Champion Chris Jericho was immensely popular in the AEW locker room.

As it transpired, The Young Bucks themselves were backstage to wish him well as he entered, and Best Friends member Trent tweeted about the profundity of the moment with a strong three-word sentiment reportedly shared by many others in the AEW fold.
