10 Wrestlers Too Good To Be Ruined By WWE's Bad Booking

7. Bray Wyatt

Wrestlers mired in midcard mediocrity could do a lot worse than examine how Bray Wyatt shot himself back into the main event.

Wrestling may be staged, but wins and losses do still matter. That's why when Bray Wyatt, the supposed "Eater of Worlds", was given the nickname "Eater of Pins" by the fandom, the writing was on the wall for that iteration of the character. One too many high profile losses had led to Wyatt becoming a joke, and drastic intervention was needed to save his career.

Fortunately, he managed to dig himself out of the hole WWE Creative had put him in by creating a brand new identity for himself - part manic children's entertainer, part homicidal biker clown. Memorably debuting his new persona by chainsawing a cardboard cutout of his discredited Eater of Worlds character, Wyatt made it obvious that we were witnessing a career revival unlike anything we'd seen before.

Wyatt has gone from strength to strength since then, main eventing PPVs and shifting merchandise in a way unthinkable back when he was cross-dressing during promos in order to promote a fight against a demonic pumpkin-man.

Yes, that was a thing that actually happened.
