10 Wrestlers That Tragically Turned To Drugs

3. Miss Elizabeth

Another great valet from WWE history. She is most well-known from her work in the WWE from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, and the mid-1990s to the early 2000s in WCW. Her main 'client' was her real life husband 'Macho Man' Randy Savage who she married in 1984. Elizabeth lead Macho Man to the numerous Intercontinental Championship reigns and even became the object of George 'The Animal' Steele's desires. The pair eventually captured the WWF World Heavyweight Championship before embarking on a huge storyline with Hulk Hogan. Then, in 1995, Elizabeth turned up in WCW as the ex-wife of Savage and a close friend of Hogan. After spells managing The Four Horsesmen and in the NWO, she managed Lex Luger who she would get together with after the pair were released by WCW in 2000. The pair travelled the world till 2003, when they were involved in a domestic altercation with each other, Luger struck Elizabeth to the ground. Later, she was a passenger in a car Luger was driving over the limit with a 9mm handgun in the door pocket. On May 1, 2003, Luger called 911 to report that Elizabeth was not breathing. She did not respond to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and paramedics rushed her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. A medical examiner listed the cause of death as 'acute toxicity,' brought on by a mix of painkillers and vodka.
